About Me

A question that I am commonly asked, is: "are you really only 13?!"   The truth is yes, I am, and yes, my dream is to become a chef.  All of the recipes and photos I post (unless it says otherwise) are written or adapted by me.  I have been cooking since I was 6 and I distinctly remember learning to make scrambled eggs as my first thing to cook.  Me and my sister ate them for three weeks on end even though neither of us much cared for scrambled eggs.  We were both raised to eat almost anything and will, but scrambled eggs just aren't my thing.
I am currently in modern dance classes and was on the school dance team.  I am also doing musicals with a great theater group and I took piano for a while.  I have an Etsy shop where I sell and make jewelry: http://www.etsy.com/shop/SoCalSales?ref=search_shop_redirect    But, the one thing that has stayed constant is my love and talent for cooking.  I have yet to get bored or move on.  This will be my hobby until I can pursue my real dreams.
My dream is not just to become a chef, however, it is to be on Food Network.  I am probably the only 13 year old who literally watches Food Network routinely.  My dream is to go to college and get a double major in business and acting.  Afterwards I would want to go to culinary school while competing on shows like Top Chef or Chopped.  Once that is completed I really want to move to L.A. or New York to open a restaurant- I have already drawn out a layout for a couple of restaurant designs as well as written multiple menus-and become a Food Network Star.  (They both have Food Network Test Kitchens and Iron Chef stadiums)
I want to thank my mother for always being there and supporting my dreams (like letting me have this blog) and my sister for always being supportive and eating my food no matter how bad it turns out.  I would also like to thank anyone who is following my blog.  I honestly feel as though this is one major step towards following my dreams, because yes, I am 13 with a Dream!
